Girly girl

I needed to practice Makenna's hair and make up for her ballet performance and then she wanted to put on these press on nails that she got for her birthday.  She looks so cute but too grown up.  I love watching her try and function with these long nails on!  She's a sassy little girl!

Even though the paint in Makenna's room was finished months ago I finally got everything up on the walls. Anything girly, she loves!!

Build-a-Bear

The kids had so much fun going to build a bear! Kaden made a St. Pattricks day bear with a Darth Vadar outfit. Makenna made a dog with a skirt that matched hers, a princess shirt and sparkly shoes. Makenna had a melt down at the very beggining when she picked out the animal she wanted and I grabbed one that was not full of filling yet. After she calmed down I had to walk her through the whole store and explain how the process worked. I can't blame her, I mean who wants a stuffed animal thats deflated. :)

The power outage was fun the first night but not so fun after 3 days.

Makenna is in love with Dora. For those of you like my dad who don't know anything about the show, the little girl Dora says "Swiper no swiping" when the bad fox named Swiper tries to take things from her. Well today Makenna kept banging her drink on the kitchen table and I told her if she did it again I would take it away. Of course as any 2 year old would she did it again. As i was walking over to take it away she yells "Swiper no swiping". I could not help but laugh so I'm sure she will be doing that again. I guess there is alot worse things that she can learn from t.v.

New Years Eve

We had a fun new years eve. We lit off a few fireworks at 7:00 (yeah thats a little wierd but the kids loved it), played Kinect, and made smores in the microwave. Kids were in bed by 8:30 but all the fireworks woke Kaden up at midnight so he stayed up for a few minutes to cuddle and watch the fireworks on t.v. Great night!!
