Our Trip to Utah

We just got back from a wonderful and fun filled trip to Utah. I have 2 sisters (Becca & Heather) and a brother (Paul) who live there as well as Becca's husband (Brandon) and son (Calvin). We were only there from Thursday to Sunday and somehow did a million things. Thursday we went to a high school pool that is down the road from Becca's house. It was a VERY hot day especially for us Washingtonians. It not only had a zero entry pool but it also had an awesome water slide. Kaden went on the water slide over and over and over again. School has just started there so the pool wasn't very busy and there was no line for the slide which made it even better for Kaden. After that we went to Pirate Island for dinner which is just like a Chuck E Cheese but its all Pirate themed. It was awesome. The next day we went to Thanksgiving Point which was lots of different animals to look at feed and even ride the ponies. Kaden was extra excited because they also had a few horses, so while Calvin and Makenna rode the little ponies he was able to ride the big horses. He named the first one "Awesome" and the second one "Brownie". We relaxed the rest of the day and Brandon bbqed an awesome dinner for us. After the kids went to bed we broke out monopoly and after it getting down to just Brandon and I somehow Brandon pulled out a win. On Saturday we went to a grand opening of a really cool park with free everything. We played there and had a blast and then later in the afternoon we went to a BYU museum that had tons of stuffed animals. I guess thats what they are called you know taxidermy type stuff. Anyways it was a really cool place and the kids (as well as adults) loved it!! The kids got to pick out a gift there. Makenna picked out a cute little kitty (stuffed animal) and Kaden picked out a husky dog that he later named Jake Locker (the UW quarterback). Then we went to Squaw peak for a wonderful view and took some great pictures. We were in Utah for a short time but not only had time to do so many fun things but we also had time to relax and just visit. Spending time with family is priceless especially when its family you don't get to see very often. It was a vacation we'll never forget!!
