Now that I have posted all my Christmas pictures I can get to our trip to Westport. We went there for the weekend to do some clam digging and had a lot of fun. We threw out some crab pots one day while we were hanging out in town but we only caught rock crab and small dungeness that we couldn't keep. The kids stayed in the car for a while with grandma and grandpa and the dogs because it was so cold. Clam digging could have been better. The first day we got to the beach a little early so the clams weren't showing up right away. I went up to the car after 30 minutes of waiting for the clams to show because Makenna was was too cold. Actually she probably wasn't too cold, she was bundled up pretty good so she was probably uncomfortable with all her many layers on. Kaden was having lots of fun so he stayed digging with daddy. They ended up getting about 30-40 which isn't very many considering there was 6 limits(15 each) they could have got (not including me and Makenna). At least it made cleaning them easier. The next day we left the kids with grandma Lisa and dug ZERO clams. I've never been clam digging and come back with nothing. Even thought it was really cold there was no rain and very little wind so the weather wasn't too bad. All in all it was a great trip. We played lots of games, hung out with the family and the kids were great. Now back to reality...

Our view from our room...gotta love it!!! This isn't the beach we dug clams at, we had to drive about 10 minutes to that beach.
The kids are ready to clam dig, or just play in the sand
